A benefit barbecue event will take place from 10am to 3pm May 25 to help the Huntsville Police Department raise funds for a K-9 unit.
The department’s longtime police dog – “Quintus” – passed away recently – and the local law enforcement agency is looking for monetary assistance in procuring another K-9 unit.
The barbecue event will take place in the parking lot of the police department – the lot is located on 10th Street behind 1st United Methodist Church in downtown Huntsville. Sandwiches and whole briskets will be offered for sale. Donations will also be accepted.
A minimum of 10 orders will be delivered at $5 a plate. Cooked briskets will be sold for $40.
C'mon down, have some Barbecue and support a good cause for those who bravely serve our community!
