What Are My Closing Costs as a Seller? 

Navigating the world of buying and selling property is not easy.  That's why REALTORS® exist.  We are the professionals who are trained to help you to navigate the waters of the wild world of real estate transactions. 

The National Association of Realtors® was formed in 1908 with over 100 members.  The organization was formed for a number of reasons---one of the primary reasons "to unite the real estate men of America for the purpose of effectively exerting a combined influence upon matters affecting real estate interests." (NAR)

The organization decided to adopt a "CODE OF ETHICS" in 1913 based on the principles of the "Golden Rule."  Still today, adherence and accountability to this "CODE OF ETHICS"is the DIFFERENCE between a "Real Estate Agent" and a "REALTOR®."  Both are licensed, only REALTORS® are accountable to the "Code of Ethics."

This is all important to know because we are professionals and rely upon "referral business" just like doctors or attorneys.  Our reputation is EXTREMELY important.

It is also important to know because we, as Realtors®, "go to bat" for you, the property owner through our Political Action Committee that exists to protect   the rights of property owners.  That, however, is a whole other blog----or indeed, VOLUMES of books.
